Look for me getting saved and speaking in tongues at the LAST CHANCE HOLINESS BAPTIST CHURCH in Episode One of the new season of JUSTIFIED on F/X.  What a wild crazy scary awesome experience.  The show should be fantastic - whether you can see and hear me or not.

BEND Film Festival - Totally Loved IT!

 

     BEND FILM FESTIVAL 2012

     October 11th -14th

This was an amazing experience in Bend, Oregon!  

I was there representing "She Who Excels In Solitude" by Mako Kamitsuna - 

Our piece was part of a field of 52 wonderful short films as well as full-length features, documentaries and conservation films.  

Two other films from AFI DWW were also there:  BLACK IRISH directed by Anika Poitier and 

THE MEN'S ROOM directed by Jane Pickett.  Met so many talented fascinating folks!  All this great work was being seen and celebrated by filmmakers, film-lovers, critics and film jurors.  It was a treat - a privilege ... and now I've gotta sleep for a day or two.

This beautiful setting is a perfect place to take in this story of Iconic humans and larger than life Gods!  I am covering the role of HELEN as well as two other ladies who represent Marilyn Monroe and Blanche Dubois.  Plenty to chew on!!

I'm playing "Nickie" the seasoned crusty queen of the FanDango Ballroom, a great role made famous by Chita Rivera, Bebe Newirth among distinguished others.  I'm in great company!  This production has gotten several Broadway World Award nominations  (for Los Angeles obviously) - Best Choreography - Tania Possick,  Best Lead Actor in a Musical - Adam Silver, and Best Featured Actress in a Musical - ME!

October 12th - REVENGE on ABC - Guilty Pleasure TV!

I got to shoot two days on the new ABC "I will cut you" drama REVENGE.  The episode I'm on will air Wednesday, October 12th.   I'm one of Madeline Stowe's South Hampton friends who sees the same psychiatrist... (ME: red hair, green tank dress, prominent deltoids).  I get humiliated - along with several others - in a very public way!  SPOILER ALERT.   I think I signed something and cannot say more....

Who doesn't love watching wealthy snotty people get taken down a peg????

Backstage of the Mark Taper Forum - downtown LA

I am curled up in my dressing room upstairs of the Mark Taper Forum - between shows on Saturday.  The theatre is beautiful and I'm really attached to "my" green fuzzy sofa in "my" dressing room ... mine for another few weeks anyway.
I'm here for the run of Theresa Rebeck's new play, POOR BEHAVIOR, covering both the female roles in this fast-paced four character dramedy.  The two female characters are very different; its a fantastic challenge and honor to tackle them both.  Thanks Universe - I guess you heard that request ....
